Autumn and winter in Nakashibetsu bring hours with very little sound.

When you step off the plane, we meet you at Nemuro-Nakashibetsu Airport. You stay in a private villa standing in the middle of the pastures, and on one day of your stay, you head out on a "Silent Drive" of up to three hours in a quiet Nissan LEAF.

Rather than rushing between sights, you stop where the scenery calls you, and return to the villa while it is still light - to the fire in the wood stove, the farm's cheese and soup, and the frost- or snow-covered pastures.

What this plan offers

Round-trip transfers between Nemuro-Nakashibetsu Airport and FARM VILLA taku are included. On arrival, we can stop once at a supermarket in town on the way to the villa if you wish.

During your stay, you can enjoy one "Silent Drive" - a complimentary experience reserved for our guests. It is a small drive of up to three hours in a Nissan LEAF through the pastures around taku and the landscapes of Nakashibetsu.

No packed itinerary - you drive with the day's light and weather. Beyond the quiet of the cabin, you begin to hear the wind, the birds, the sound of tires on snow. Time that feels like eastern Hokkaido.

About the airport transfer

• Transfers are available only for Nakashibetsu Airport (Nemuro-Nakashibetsu Airport). We do not serve other airports.

• One outbound and one return transfer per group.

• As a rule, the whole group should arrive and depart on the same flights.

• Please tell us your arrival and departure flights when you book.

• If your flight is significantly changed or cancelled, we will readjust the transfer time; in some cases we may not be able to accommodate the change.

• After check-out, we can also suggest a route that lets you enjoy lunch or shopping in town before heading to the airport.

About the Silent Drive

The Silent Drive is a complimentary experience reserved for guests of FARM VILLA taku. If you would like to join, please tell us who will drive when you book.

• Once per stay, up to 3 hours

• Held during daylight hours as a rule

• Only drivers declared at booking and confirmed on the day may drive

• The original of a valid driver's license must be presented

• A safety briefing and confirmation of the terms are held before departure

• Seat belts must be worn in all seats

• Driving after drinking, smoking, pets on board, and handing the wheel to anyone else are prohibited

• Unpaved roads, closed sections, and roads with foreseeable hazards are off limits

• Please return the car strictly on time

In autumn and winter, weather and road conditions in eastern Hokkaido change quickly. Safety comes first: depending on weather, road surface, visibility, or the vehicle's condition, we may ask to change or cancel the experience even on the day. As it is complimentary, there is no refund or substitute benefit if cancelled.

• This plan is for stays of 2 nights or more, best for 2 to 4 guests.

• Please book at least 7 days before check-in.

• The room rate does not change if you do not use the transfer or the Silent Drive.

• Using the Silent Drive requires a license check, agreement to the terms, and participation in the safety briefing.

• For safety reasons, we may decline use depending on winter-driving experience or conditions on the day.

• Smoking is prohibited throughout the villa and grounds.

• Open flames (BBQ, bonfires, fireworks, candles) are prohibited. Only the built-in wood stove may be used.
