This is the standard plan for FARM VILLA taku - a private villa for one group per day, standing in the middle of the pastures of Takeshita Farm in Nakashibetsu, eastern Hokkaido.

A stay for slowly savoring the grassland views, the wood stove, our farm cheese and soup, and the quiet of the morning.

We recommend staying two nights or more. The first night lets the fatigue of the journey unwind; the second day opens up time to settle into the stillness, the food, and the landscape of the farm.

Extended-stay rates apply to bookings of two nights or more - not a discount for its own sake, but pricing designed so you can fully experience FARM VILLA taku.

• Stays of up to 10 nights can be booked. One-night stays may be offered only when there is a last-minute opening.

• About FARM VILLA taku

• FARM VILLA taku is a private villa built by dairy farmers themselves in Nakashibetsu, one of Japan's largest dairy regions in eastern Hokkaido.

• Twenty minutes by car from Nakashibetsu Airport. The 200-square-meter villa stands on a small hill along an old town road, with grasslands stretching as far as the eye can see. There are no other buildings around - just one villa in the open pasture.

• In summer, mornings begin with light and the scent of grass. In autumn and winter, with the fire of the wood stove and snow-covered pastures.

• The villa consists of an entrance (main building) and a guest building with two bedrooms, each with its own bath and toilet. Each room has two semi-double beds, and we recommend up to 4 guests. The sofa bed can be converted into two extra single beds, for a maximum of 8 guests.

• A spacious kitchen and living room let you cook with fresh local ingredients. In the evening, light the wood stove and enjoy cheese from our farm's cheese workshop with wine or local craft beer.

• Separately from the welcome food, you can pre-order the taku Farm Meal Kit as a paid dinner option: prepped local ingredients, sauces, and a recipe card, needing only a short finish in the kitchen.

• From May to October, guests staying two nights or more can join an early-morning farm tour guided by the owner - please ask when booking.
