FARM VILLA taku is a private villa for one group per day, standing in the pastures of Takeshita Farm in Nakashibetsu, Hokkaido. A stay spent in the villa itself, rather than a trip rushing between sights.

There are no other buildings around - only grassland outside the windows. Evenings are for lighting the wood stove; mornings begin with farm cheese and soup. A place for doing nothing at all.

About the Takeshita Farm Whole Cheese Set

Takeshita Farm, in Nakashibetsu in eastern Hokkaido, raises two breeds of dairy cattle - Holstein and Brown Swiss - with care so that the cows can live at ease, as cows should. From the rich milk they share with us, we began making cheese.

The set includes: Mozzarella 100g x 2 / Maribo cube type 80g x 2 / Maribo block type 100g x 2

Mozzarella: so fresh it feels like eating milk itself, with the gentle sweetness of raw milk and a springy texture. Shipped directly from our cheese workshop.

Maribo: a mild, semi-hard cheese of Danish origin, similar to Gouda, aged for three months or more. It melts and stretches well when heated - good for pizza, gratin, and cheese fondue - and is also delicious sliced for sandwiches and salads. The cubes go well with light wine or sake.

All cheeses are natural cheese, made from raw milk (Nakashibetsu, Hokkaido) and salt, by Takeshita Farm. Keep refrigerated at 10 degrees C or below. Mozzarella keeps for 7 days from production; Maribo for 60 days from packaging.
