Capacity
The villa has two twin bedrooms with semi-double beds, and we recommend staying with up to 4 guests. On request, the sofa bed can be made up as an extra bed (single size), allowing a maximum of 8 guests. * Extra beds incur an additional charge of 5,000 yen (tax included) per extra bed per night. As the villa is rented as a whole, the rate does not change with the number of children when your party is 4 guests or fewer. For parties of 5 or more, if a preschool child sleeps with an adult and no extra bed is needed, the rate does not change either - but please enter the number and ages of children when you book.
How many guests can stay? Does the rate depend on the number of guests?
The villa hosts one group per day, up to 8 guests. To slowly enjoy the space and the quiet, we recommend 2 to 4 guests. The rate is for the whole villa and does not change with the number of guests (the same rate from 1 to 4 guests). For 5 guests or more, each extra bed is 5,000 yen (tax included) per night. Seasonal rates apply in peak periods such as August.
Should we stay one night or two?
We recommend a stay of two nights or more. The first night eases the fatigue of the journey; the second day opens up time to slowly enjoy the grassland scenery, the wood stove, the cheese and soup, and the quiet morning. Extended-stay rates are available for stays of two nights or more. If you book Friday and Saturday, we also recommend adding Sunday night for a three-night stay - it lets the weekend end without hurry.
When do cancellation fees apply?
Our cancellation policy is as follows: 14 days before: 20% 7 days before: 50% 3 days before: 80% The day before: 100% Same day: 100% No-show: 100% (if no contact is received)
What payment methods are available?
For regular bookings, payment is by advance online payment only. For corporate training camps and similar group stays, please contact us about on-site card payment or invoice payment. We accept VISA, MasterCard, JCB, American Express, and DISCOVER. From stays on or after April 1, 2026, the Hokkaido accommodation tax applies. The amount depends on the number of guests and nights. Please pay the tax in cash on site on the day of your stay.
Late check-in
Check-in is normally between 15:00 and 17:00. If your travel plans delay your arrival, a late check-in fee applies (paid on site): 19:00-22:00: 5,000 yen (tax included) We are unable to accept check-in after 22:00. Thank you for your understanding.
Is internet access available?
Yes. Free Wi-Fi is available (STARLINK).
Are meals included?
We do not serve meals. Instead, the villa has a kitchen with cookware, tableware, and basic seasonings. Every booking includes one set of welcome food for breakfast: Takeshita Farm cheese (one pack each of Mozzarella and Maribo), four packs of LETTER SOUP, a bottle of Nakashibetsu milk, Hokkaido butter, and a loaf of naturally leavened bread made with whey from the farm. Separately from the welcome food, you can order taku's Farm Meal Kit (prepped ingredients and sauces with a recipe card) as a paid option for dinner. Please order it when you book.
Can we cook? Are seasonings provided?
The kitchen is stocked with basic cookware and tableware, free to use. (As a full range is provided, we ask that you refrain from bringing your own cookware or kitchen items.) We also keep rice and seasonings on hand: Seasonings (salt, sugar, soy sauce, mirin, cooking sake, vinegar, olive oil, rice oil, sesame oil, pepper, ichimi and shichimi chili pepper, mayonnaise, chuno sauce), rice (about 1.5 kg)
Do you have chairs and tableware for children?
We have tableware and other items for small children. High chairs, diaper bins, and similar items are not always set up in the villa, so please let us know your needs when you book.
Can we buy alcohol on site?
We offer in-villa sales of Japanese wines selected by a wine sommelier and local craft beer (Brasserie Knot), among others. You are also welcome to bring your own drinks.
Are there convenience stores or supermarkets nearby?
The nearest shops are about a 20-minute drive away. We recommend finishing your shopping before arriving at the villa.
Is driving and shopping manageable in autumn and winter?
Supermarkets and restaurants in central Nakashibetsu are about a 20-minute drive away. In winter, travel times vary with weather and road conditions, so please shop before arrival and allow extra time for the drive. Check-in is 15:00-17:00. Days are short in winter, so arriving in daylight is safest.
Can we use the wood stove?
Yes. There is a wood stove in the glass-walled lounge, where you can relax watching the fire. Firewood is provided; please light and tend the fire yourself. For safety, no fire other than the wood stove may be used (no charcoal BBQ, bonfires, fireworks, or candles).
Is there anywhere to smoke?
We are sorry, but the entire building and grounds are non-smoking, out of consideration for wildlife and to prevent wildfires. (As an allergy-free villa, we also ask that you refrain from using vaporized tobacco products indoors.)
Can we have a BBQ, fireworks, or other open flames?
We are very sorry, but open flames are prohibited in all areas inside and outside the villa (charcoal BBQ, bonfires, candles, fireworks, smoking, etc. - the wood stove is the exception). Please also refrain from bringing your own BBQ sets or grills.
Can pets stay with us?
We are very sorry, but pets cannot stay at the villa. There are pet hotels in Nakashibetsu town (such as Wag and Pet Shop Chiwawan), so please consider using them.
Can we send luggage in advance?
Yes. Please contact us and we will let you know the shipping address and details. Feel free to get in touch.
How do we get there? Is pick-up available?
Pick-up may be available on request. If you wish, please feel free to ask after booking. Public transport is limited, so we recommend coming by car (your own or a rental). Approximate times from airports: - Nemuro-Nakashibetsu Airport: about 20 minutes by car. About 1 hour 40 minutes from Haneda (Tokyo), and about 1 hour from New Chitose (Sapporo), with around 3 flights a day. Rental car counters are at the airport. - Kushiro Airport: about 2 hours by car. - Memanbetsu Airport: about 2 hours 10 minutes by car. Free parking for 5 cars is available; a microbus can also park. There are few streetlights and the road is hard to find after dark, so we recommend arriving in daylight. For a detailed map, please see the Access page.
Can we extend check-out (late check-out)?
Check-out is at 10:00. Because we set aside time to carefully prepare the villa after each one-group stay, we do not offer free extensions. Only when the next booking and our cleaning schedule allow, a late check-out until 15:00 (33,000 yen, tax included) may be available. If you wish, please contact us in advance via our official LINE or by phone.
